What to Expect

Deep Listening & Depth-Oriented Work
You will be met with full-bodied, compassionate listening, the kind that allows you to feel witnessed and to hear yourself more clearly. I work with women and men in the rush hour of life (roughly ages 25–55) navigating life transitions, identity shifts, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship stress, perfectionism, or the weight of early conditioning. This is not quick-fix therapy; we focus on understanding long-standing patterns, beliefs, and habits, then gently practicing new ways of relating to yourself and others.

The Here & Now
While we explore your past to understand context and patterns, our work centers on how those patterns show up in your present life. Together, we focus on creating real, sustainable changes that help align the life you’re living with the life you want.

Approach & Modalities
My work is person-centered and relational, blending CBT, ACT, Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness, somatic work, compassion-focused and existential approaches. With an additional master’s degree in liberal theology, I welcome evolving spirituality, deconstruction, and meaning-making. Therapy is grounded in collaboration and human-to-human connection.

Self-Compassion, Acceptance & Feeling Alive
Growth begins with acceptance rather than self-criticism. We shift from perfectionistic, over-achieving standards toward self-compassion and curiosity. Instead of asking only “What makes me happy?” we explore what helps you feel alive—before, during, and after you choose it, supporting lasting well-being, connection, and flow.

Between-Session Work
Meaningful change happens through repetition and reflection. You may be invited to engage in gentle self work between sessions to support integration and longterm growth.

If you’re ready to invest in yourself and want a warm, non-judgmental space where you feel heard, supported, and challenged with care, this therapy relationship may be a strong fit.

The Therapy Process

  • Consultation (10–15 minutes): We discuss what’s bringing you to therapy and assess mutual fit.

  • Initial Session: An in-depth intake, your “all-about-you” session, exploring your history, current challenges, goals, and strengths.

  • Ongoing Sessions: Weekly or bi-weekly sessions focus on present-day life, with the past used for insight and context as needed, often revealing long-standing patterns that continue to be recreated in current relationships, choices, and internal narratives.

  • Closure Session: Intentional time to reflect on growth, consolidate insights, and outline next steps, including a written summary to support continued independent work.
